Hello there. My name is Michael. Online I'm often known as deppy. I was born in the US (Alabama). I've lived in 7 different states. I currently live in Berlin, Germany. I've been here since 2009. I spend my free time traveling, diving, hiking, and doing nerdy tech stuff.
I've decided to start a blog about my travels. Mostly because in May 2017, I will be taking a bike trip across the USA. I will be following the TransAmerica Bike Trail from Florence, Oregon to Virginia Beach, Virginia. I'm giving myself almost 4 months to make the ride across, but assume it might take a lot less then that. I'd like the time to be able to see everything along the way (and make 1 side trip into Grand Teton National Park).
Before that trip, I will also be going to Iceland for my 2nd time and will be driving around the Ring Road and up into the West Fjords.
Now that introductions are out of the way, I'll be adding more and more.
To give a small overview of where I've been so far, I've included the map below. Unfortunately, Antarctica is missing from the map...but I have been there!
